Chinese Premier Li Qiang met with Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing on Tuesday.
Li noted that China-Brazil relations have entered a "golden era" of development and that China is willing to work with Brazil to move forward side by side and achieve mutual success on the path to modernization.
Li said that China and Brazil should strengthen solidarity and coordination, jointly navigate risks and challenges, and achieve a higher level of mutual benefit and win-win results.
President Lula, who is in China for a state visit, said that Brazil-China relations are currently maintaining a high level of development.
He said Brazil is willing to strengthen multilateral communication and coordination with China, support multilateralism, jointly resist unilateralism and protectionism, safeguard national sovereignty, and promote the common development of the Global South.
