Solomon Islands – The island of happiness

In September 2019, China and the Solomon Islands officially established diplomatic relations. Since then, bilateral cooperation has rapidly advanced, setting a model for solidarity and development among countries of different sizes and among developing nations.

Located in the southwestern Pacific, the Solomon Islands lie about 485 kilometers east of Papua New Guinea and face Vanuatu across the sea. The capital, Honiara, sits on Guadalcanal Island. Comprising more than 900 islands surrounded by crystal-clear waters, the Solomon Islands boast breathtaking landscapes, abundant natural resources, and a rich, unique cultural heritage. Known for its tranquil lifestyle and stunning natural beauty, the country is fondly called the "Island of Happiness."
