China's advancements in smart senior care – ranging from AI-powered companion robots to remote health monitoring systems – are drawing international attention.

China is at the edge of technology breakthroughs, including artificial intelligence, robotics and wireless monitoring systems, said Vadim Samorodov, head of the Public Affairs Department at the Russian Scientific and Clinical Center on Gerontology, in an interview with CGTN during the 11th China International Senior Services Expo held in Beijing from May 21 to 23, 2025.
