The 9th International Intangible Cultural Heritage Festival Chengdu, China opened at the Chengdu International Intangible Cultural Heritage Expo Park on May 28. Running through June 3, the event spans both International Children's Day and the Dragon Boat Festival, offering residents and visitors a vibrant cultural celebration.
This year's festival features three special activities: the Vibrant Heritage: Tianfu Parade, the Diverse Heritage: Dialogue on Inheritance, and the Charming Heritage: International Exhibition. There are also three special segments focusing on international intangible culture heritage (ICH) brand intellectual property licensing, global cuisine, and traditional Chinese medicine promotion. The event also highlights China's innovative approach to integrating intangible cultural heritage into modern life while encouraging youth engagement in systematic heritage preservation and supporting culture-driven economic development.

The event brings together over 600 ICH projects from more than 60 countries and regions. Over 400 representative ICH practitioners from across China will also gather in Chengdu to showcase their craftsmanship, demonstrate traditional skills, and promote cultural products.
