Liang Xiaojing of China won the women's 100-meter gold medal at the Asian Athletics Championships in Gumi, South Korea, on Wednesday, after clocking 11.37 seconds in the final.
Liang's performance was nothing but dominant as she led from the beginning till the end of the race. She also became the first Chinese sprinter to win the event at the Asian Championships since Wei Yongli in 2013.
Chinese athletes pocketed a total of six gold medals at the tournament on the day. Zhu Yaming conquered the men's triple jump final with 17.06 meters and was the only one to surpass 17 meters.
Wang Qi brought home the men's hammer throw title by reaching 74.50 meters. Niu Chunge topped the women's pole vault podium with 4.48 meters and stood next to her compatriot, silver medalist Xu Huiqin.
The men's decathlon championship went to China's Fei Xiang who finished with 7,634 points. Li Chunhui added the women's 1500m gold with a much-improved personal best of 4:10.58.
